About The Brain Injury Association (Auckland)
            
 

The Brain Injury Association (Auckland) is an incorporated Society that was first registered in 1981.   It is owned by its members and is primarily an advocacy organisation supporting people with brain injuries and their families.


Mission

The mission of the Association is to provide information, advocacy, support and education for people with Brain Injuries and their families / whanau.

Regardless of whether people acquire their brain injury, through an accident or as a result of strokes, tumours and other medical problems, all are offered help.

Assistance is normally provided through our family liaison team which comprises a manager and three liaison officers.

The Liaison Service also organises a variety of support groups for people living with brain injury and their families.  For details see Liaison Service and Support Groups.

People with an interest in brain injury are encouraged to become members of the Association, to participate in a variety of social and other activities and to benefit from the support and friendship of others.
