Announcement
On behalf myself and the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Auckland, I would like to welcome our new Chief Executive, Chris Higgins to the organisation.
After many years of service to Brain Injury Auckland, Harley Pope is now enjoying his retirement and new adventures, and we are fortunate to have Chris take over the helm and lead us forward in this new era.
Chris has an extensive management and leadership background in the health and social services sectors, including senior roles with the Northland and Waikato District Health Boards, Presbyterian Support (Northern) and, most recently, Spectrum Care. He is passionate about ensuring that people we support, and their families, are accorded the best possible opportunities to have valued social roles in the communities where they live. We are certainly fortunate to have attracted a person of his calibre to head our dedicated team.
Both the Board and myself are excited to be working with Chris and we look forward to forging ahead with our continued improvement, viability and success, ensuring people with brain injuries and their families in our community are able to access the very best by way of support, information and rehabilitation.
Peter Ginley
President, Brain Injury Association (Auckland) Inc
